Social Positivists

teaching the church about human rights

Rights

Legal rights are products of a liberal state. Legal rights ferment social division and social injustice. The worlds political and economic systems are based on legal rights and are corrosive of the social order. Anything that produces social division creates injustice. Injustice offends our human rights. Injustice destroys peace, prosperity and progress. Injustice destroys the rights of man.

Positive propositions

  • The authority given to the people of God is given corporately that is to all the people of God.
  • All power from God is entrusted to the people of God to care for the things of God.
  • The power assigned to the people of God is the power of a steward.

  • Ownership is derived from and reflects responsibility.
  • The deeper the responsibility the greater the ownership.
  • All legitimate power flows up from the base that is we the people.
  • All power originates in and from the people.
  • That the people legitimately and expressly reserve to themselves all power not expressly offered and given to a higher office.
  • All governing authority belongs to the office and not the office holder in that all the power of an office resides in and is restricted to the office holder and his or her title and not the person that bears said title.
  • All power and authority belong to the title and office and is never transferred to any person or agent except insofar as he or she represents the office and holds the relevant title pertaining to that office.
  • The ultimate power belongs to the people of the faith and of the church encapsulated in the phrase, the people of the Western Philosophical Tradition knowing and acknowledging that this and all power originates from God and must be ordained by God or is fictitious and invalid.
  • No power is provided without limit and no title given without containing as part of its provisions the power of retraction.
  • No power, authority is provided without containing as part of its provision the means and conditions upon which said power, authority or title may be rendered null and void.

  • No state, agent, person, collection of persons, authority or agent acting under the authority of another agent or authority has any power, right, position or authority to assign to another agent, power, person, authority powers over any asset or thing of value that rightfully belongs singularly or collectively to another.
  • Only the agent and authority of the lower level may rescind titles and authority handed to the agent or agents occupying the higher level.
  • Final authority of recall belonging and remaining with the people that is the church.
  • All resources belong to all people to be used singularly and collectively according to the right of possession.
  • That which is not possessed, that is ‘in use’ is not owned.
  • The only legitimate form of ownership is personal ownership, the ownership provided by usage or proximation.
  • That which we have possession of by proximal claim is owned, that which is severed and unattached is not-owned.
  • The greater authority lies with the immediate agent preceding the possessive agent.
  • The nation is defined by the federation of the local bodies.
  • The federation of local agents defines the extent of ownership as belongs to the province or state or other general bodies.
  • Government is by assignment of powers.
  • Those powers not assigned are retained.
  • All powers not assigned to a higher authority are assumed retained by the lower body.
